Drug testing should be more sophisticated in NBA

The WADA’s director general David Howman claims that the National Basketball Association (NBA) anti-doping policy is not good enough to catch those that apply banned medications. He states that steroid testing conducted in the NBA is not appropriate. While the NFL and the MLB agreed to accept additional tests, the NBA refused to do the same things.
The basketball player Derrick Rose also said that a lot of NBA players applied steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. This sport is not clean, according to Derrick Rose. It is believed that David Howman’s point of view linked with  intake of steroids in the NBA is resulted from words said by Derrick Rose.
The NBA doesn’t want to adopt its anti-doping program to that of the WADA. The NBA officers confirm that steroids and other related products don’t have capacity to influence on games and make them unfair. They state that only natural skills and workouts play role in the NBA. According to NBA officers, steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs can’t enhance performance of basketball players. They notice that doping products don’t benefit this sport.
Do NBA officers have a right point of view? Aren’t steroids and other related medicines capable to increase performance of those who play basketball? What does the reality show? What does scientific literature affirm about effects of steroids and other related medications?
In fact, everyone knows that steroids and certain other medications benefit in any sport. They just should be taken correctly and accompanied by suitable meal and workouts. These medicines play significant role in sports. It is impossible to contest effectiveness of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in basketball. Statements of NBA officers are wrong.
Undoubtedly, any sport organization wants to consider that their sport is clean. Nonetheless, it is necessary to see the reality. That’s why David Howman states that it is important to conduct more and more sophisticated steroid testing in order to catch those that take banned products.
