Many baseball players care more about money than about their reputation

The Major League Baseball survived some baffling periods of time. It survived 2 situations that are claimed to be 2 world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Today the MLB suffers from steroid era. It is widely believed that it will be able to survive this period too. There was a case that had an essential influence on baseball as well. It was the case related to Barry Bonds.
Undoubtedly, Barry Bonds was not the only player of the MLB who administrated medications which enhance performance. Furthermore, he is not the last of them. Numerous baseball players have applied prohibited drugs to increase performance. Many players of baseball have gotten awards and millions of dollars due to intake of forbidden preparations.
The sums of money which may be gotten justify the dangers related to intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players that take forbidden products don’t worry so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about getting money. Such individuals are responsible for the influence which is spread upon fans who try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot discussions about the steroid era in baseball.
Nobody doubts that any baseball player who takes steroids destroys his honor. It is made only for money. Such individual trades own honor only for getting money.
Nevertheless, it is believed that future of baseball is without steroid use. Numerous baseball players have talents and appropriate skills; they train hardly and dedicate themselves totally to this sport. They are honest people. They keep their image. Such persons love baseball truthfully. They don’t worry just about money. Such baseball players are motivated by pure love to baseball.
Actually, the MLB bans steroids. But unluckily, there are individuals in every sport who take unfair advantage due to steroid use.
Our hope is light: we think that the day comes, when we’ll see sportspersons who compete not because of doping but due to natural talents, skills and intensive trainings.
