Considering Lance Armstrong’s case, it is reasonable to discuss “clean” sports

The American cyclist Lance Armstrong was denying doping for years. Although he was accused of taking prohibited medications numerous times, he continued to claim that he never took forbidden preparations. Even when the USADA proved that the cyclist doped, he cheated about doping. But finally, Lance Armstrong decided to admit to using EPO, testosterone and blood transfusions.
Although a lot of sportspersons took performance-enhancing drugs and avoided detection successfully, there was anything uncommon in the doping case of Lance Armstrong. The American cyclist reached great success in sports. He won Tour de France races 7 consecutive times. He obtained also some other awards. Lance Armstrong got worldwide success. Although he was subjected to a lot of drug tests, he never tested positive for any banned product.
Of course, Lance Armstrong is not the only sportsman who has doped. Sportspersons have applied banned medicines during past years. They continue to use anabolic steroids and other related preparations nowadays. And professional athletes will take them in future. Administration of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs is spread in professional sports. Almost every athlete applies prohibited medicines. While some athletes test positive for banned preparations and get suspensions, others avoid detection.
When it comes to the attitude to Lance Armstrong’s doping, it’s mainly negative. Many individuals got essential anger, when the famous cyclist admitted to applying EPO, the steroid testosterone and blood transfusions. Thousands individuals believed in him. They thought that the legendary American cyclist was “clean”. That’s why their disappointment was great.
And what do you think about “clean” sports? Anti-doping officers should ponder over this issue. While anti-doping agencies claim that they have sophisticated tests to combat doping in sports, numerous athletes apply anabolic steroids and/or other related medications and avoid detection.
While the legendary cyclist has admitted to using forbidden drugs, anti-doping agencies should realize that their policies are weak.

Doctors should supervise steroid use by professional athletes

Przemyslaw Saleta’s opinion about Lance Armstrong’s doping differs from that of many individuals. The polish boxer doesn’t condemn the American cyclist. Przemyslaw Saleta notes that Lance Armstrong has acted like almost every professional sportsperson. The 7-time Tour de France winner has used forbidden preparations and cheated about his doping. It’s not surprising. Almost each athlete takes steroids and other related medicines.
While a lot of athletes that apply banned drugs are caught by anti-doping agencies and sentenced to bans, Lance Armstrong has never tested positive for any forbidden product. He was not caught, despites of having been subjected to many drug tests. Undoubtedly, Lance Armstrong is not the only athlete that has avoided detection successfully. Let take Chinese sportspeople as an example! The state sponsors them. The state provides money enough to acquire such medicines which are undetectable. So, many Chinese athletes use doping products without being caught. It becomes evident that sportspeople that have much money may use performance-enhancing drugs and avoid detection. Lance Armstrong tuned out to be only one of such sportspersons.
The polish boxer Przemyslaw Saleta has an uncommon proposal. He considers that steroids and other related medications should be legalized in professional sports. According to this sportsman, anabolic steroids and other doping products are not dangerous for health, if they are taken by adults that possess sufficient knowledge about methods to consume them properly. Przemyslaw Saleta claims that usage of anabolic steroids and other related drugs by athletes should be supervised by health care providers. Thus, athletes are likely to avoid serious adverse results.
Moreover, Przemyslaw Saleta considers that anabolic steroids and other related preparations are indispensible in such sports, as cycling. Cycling is a sport where sportspersons should endure too extreme conditions while training and competing. So, anabolic steroids and other doping products help cyclists to maintain health in better conditions. Cycling in itself is dangerous without anabolic steroids and other related medications.
But Przemyslaw Saleta specifies that steroids and other related medicines should be banned in amateur sports. Moreover, young sportspersons must not be also permitted to administer these drugs because they may cause essential harm in them. Teenagers must not apply such products because they may get grave adverse results.
Nonetheless, Przemyslaw Saleta notices that it is wrong to believe that anabolic steroids and other doping products represent the key to success. According to the polish boxer, success can be obtained with the help of hard working.

Numerous pharmaceutical companies are involved in illicit operations

Numerous pharmaceutical companies violate laws. But only some of them are sanctioned harshly. Many drug manufacturers avoid serious sanctions without significant efforts. But just when serious scandals are caused by illicit operations of pharmaceutical companies, they are sentenced to appropriate penalties. For example, anyone knows about the meningitis outbreak which has spread across the country because of tainted steroid injections manufactured by a Massachusetts compounding center. Undoubtedly, owners and officers of the company will be punished harshly. But when illegal operations of pharmaceutical companies don’t cause such serious problems, they continue with their business successfully.
The media reports about illegal actions related to steroids, painkillers and other prescription medications daily. But you may notice that pharmaceutical companies get just light sentencing for illicit sale of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. So, sportspersons and bodybuilders have free access to doping products. They purchase steroids and other related products from pharmaceutical companies and apply them for athletic needs. Moreover, certain compounding pharmacies provide fake prescriptions for anabolic steroids. Corrupt physicians supply customers of pharmacies with prescriptions that are given without required evaluation of customers’ personal conditions.
Compounding pharmacies are responsible not only for illegal distribution of steroids. Certain pharmaceutical companies manufacture preparations in unsterile conditions. As a result, a lot of individuals get contaminated products and experience severe complications, using  these medicines. Certain individuals even die from contamination caused by usage of contaminated medications. As you are probably informed, 39 persons died because of fungal meningitis resulted from tainted methylprednisolone acetate injections.
The late contamination with fungal meningitis should have an impact on decisions of appropriate authorities. Criminal penalties should take place. Otherwise, health of many individuals is in a great danger. Prescription preparations must be sold only under real prescriptions. All medications must be produced in sterile conditions. If compounding pharmacies don’t obey all laws, they must be punished. They must not be permitted to continue with business, if they violate laws. Loss of licenses should be accompanied by other serious penalties.

Whoopi Goldberg joins discussions about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer

Although the ashamed American cyclist Lance Armstrong has been already deprived of his 7 Tour de France titles and other awards, his steroid scandal is still widely debated. Numerous indidivuals are still expressing their attitudes to this case. Not only his possible administration of performance-enhancing drugs is discussed but certain individuals also argue about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer. Why has Lance Armstrong suffered from this disease in his young years? What has caused this disease in him?
Whoopi Goldberg, a prominent American actress is also implicated in debates related to Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal. While she has been mainly involved in debates linked with marijuana and other related drugs, now she has chosen to join those that fight against steroids and other related medications.
According to Whoopi Goldberg, Lance Armstrong has experienced testicular cancer because of anabolic steroids. The actress suggests that steroids are likely to result in cancer. She argues that these preparations may induce appearing and developing cancer. Whoopi Goldberg claims that specialists should inform people about probable links between anabolic steroids and cancer. The actress notes that experts can find out whether Lance Armstrong has developed cancer because of steroids.
But what do other famous individuals consider about Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer? Bob Weiner, a celebrated political commentator, notices that anyone should be very cautious while suggesting that anabolic steroids are responsible for development of cancer. This man realizes that these medications result in lead to many undesirable results which are quite harmful for consumers’ health and even life. But he adds that it is unusual to blame steroids for cancer. Such suppositions are serious. Bob Weiner thinks that this issue has nothing to do with anti-doping morality.
Nevertheless, Bob Weiner is inclined to believe that Lance Armstrong’s testicular cancer has developed because of steroids. This illness usually doesn’t occur in young men. Why then has Lance Armstrong got it? Since scientific literature suggests that connections between cancer and steroid use may exist, Bob Weiner doesn’t deny statements of Whoopi Goldberg.
But as it has been already noted, this issue is not included in those of anti-doping programs. Anti-doping officers focus on morality and they don’t care about protection of sportspeople’s health.

Illegal actions of pharmaceutical companies

Drug manufacturers are inclined to illicit operations. A lot of pharmacies produce and sell fake medications. As a result, consumers don’t obtain needed effects. Moreover, counterfeit preparations may cause severe unusual undesirable reactions in consumers. In addition to these illegal operations, drug manufacturers also sell prescription medicines illegally. Steroids, HGH, painkillers and other medications are sold without any prescription. So, a lot of individuals take these medicines for non-clinical needs. Anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs are widely administered for bodybuilding goals. Sportspeople and bodybuilders obtain and apply these drugs in order to enhance muscle mass and get strength. A lot of individuals desire to be more muscular and combat tiredness during workouts and competitions. That’s why they choose to apply anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Some other persons try to look nicer. Thus, they administer some prescription preparations for anti-aging needs.
Anabolic-androgenic steroids, HGH and other doping products are widely sold at online pharmacies. Several companies even hire corrupt doctors who supply customers with required prescriptions. These doctors provide prescriptions without suitable examination of clients and even without seeing them. Obtaining prescriptions, many persons buy steroids and other related drugs and use them for non-clinical goals.
However sale and intake of anabolic steroids for non-medical needs are banned under laws of many countries, a lot of companies avoid punishment successfully. While several pharmacies and persons are found guilty of illegal actions linked with products, they are rarely punished appropriately. Furthermore, they continue to produce and sell steroids illegally.
Another problem connected with illicit manufacture and distribution of anabolic steroids and other related medicines is following: some companies manufacture products in unsterile conditions. Thus, persons that take such medicines may be contaminated with certain illnesses. Sometimes contamination with a serious disease may be tragic for some users. The meningitis outbreak which has lately occurred in the USA is widely known around the world. 39 individuals died because they received tainted steroid injections. Thus, proper officials should monitor manufacture of medications. If safety is not at the needed level, health of users is in a great danger.

Deadly contamination with meningitis should have been prevented

In 2003 the FDA planned to shut down the New England Compounding Center (NECC) which last year caused the meningitis outbreak in some states of America. The NECC produced contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections. More than 400 persons who administered the tainted steroid injections got fungal meningitis. This illness turned out to be fatal for 39 individuals.
According to a late report written by the House of Energy and Commerce Committee, the meningitis outbreak could have been prevented. The report revealed many cases related to the NECC that should have been closed by the FDA earlier.
The FDA claimed in 2003 that the NECC should not have produced preparations till improving of the situation. But finally the FDA didn’t ban manufacture of medicines at the NECC. Since the NECC was claimed to be a pharmacy, it should have been monitored by Massachusetts officials. Thus, the FDA let Massachusetts colleagues to resolve the problem. As for Massachusetts officials, they didn’t ban manufacture of drugs at once. The company continued to produce medicines. Just Barry Cadden, the owner of the company, got reprimand.
Furthermore, the Massachusetts pharmacy was guilty of some illegal operations. The company acted improperly under its license. Being a pharmacy, the NECC acted as a manufacturer and sent thousands dosages of drugs to hospitals and individual patients.
In 2002 several individuals experienced unusual adverse reactions after they had got bethamethasone injections produced by the NECC.
Later several individuals who administered methylprednisolone acetate injections manufactured by the Massachusetts pharmacy were contaminated with bacterial meningitis. Since these persons received complete recovery because of antibiotics, the case was forgotten. The NECC was not punished for the tainted preparations.
These and even several other cases display that the Massachusetts company should have punished earlier. The Compounding Center should have been shut down for its illicit and improper operations. But the NECC was never sentenced to any severe penalties. As a result, the company continued to manufacture preparations that were dangerous for consumers’ health. Finally, the meningitis outbreak caused by tainted injections of the Massachusetts pharmacy spread to certain states and sickened a lot of persons. If the company had been closed earlier, the contamination with deadly fungal meningitis would not have occurred.

Contamination with meningitis could have been prevented

The meningitis outbreak resulted from contaminated epidural steroid injections could have been avoided. But since the FDA didn’t use its power for this purpose appropriately, more than 500 individuals were contaminated with this disease and 39 recipients of the injections died.
Tennessee officials turned out to show unbelievable competence under such circumstances. They were praised by legislators for their decisive actions.
It was reported that a lot of individuals that had received epidural steroid injections produced by the NECC experienced complications. When Tennessee health officials found out about this situation, they enforced all health facilities to stop utilizing drugs produced by the pharmacy from Massachusetts. Furthermore, they informed immediately about contamination health officials of other states. Actions of Tennessee health officials were quick and decisive. They didn’t hesitate and did everything in order to prevent further contamination and improve help those that were already contaminated with meningitis.
If Tennessee health officials hadn’t acted so rapidly and competently, more persons would have been contaminated with fungal meningitis and more deaths would have been.
As for the FDA, it appeared to be incompetent. It didn’t utilize its power decisively in order to improve the situation. Then it tried to justify its negligence, saying that its power was not cleared and established enough to interfere in such large-scale compounding pharmacies, as the NECC. But legislators didn’t accept the FDA’s excuse.
Tennessee health officials merit obtaining a gold medal for their actions.
However certain individuals consider that they could avoid contamination, warnings about certain risks continue to exist. A lot of persons are still hospitalized. Others are contracted by health officials. If any side symptoms occur at injection sites of those who have applied the tainted steroids, they must call doctors immediately.

FDA found unsterile equipment at NECC

It is widely reported about the meningitis outbreak that has occurred in some states of America. Contaminated Methylprednisolone Acetate injections caused fungal meningitis in over 500 persons. The contamination turned out to be tragic for 39 patients: they died. The majority of deaths took place in Tennessee.
It was noted that contaminated steroid injections had been produced by the New England Compounding Center (NECC) which is based in Massachusetts. The FDA tested the compounding center in order to define what led to contamination and see the situation at the NECC. It was affirmed by the FDA that the contaminated steroid injections were really produced by this company.
According to the Associated Press, the FDA claimed that it was evident that manufacture of medications was unsterile at the NECC. The FDA noticed that leaking water and uncontrolled temperature were only some problems at the company. The equipment used for preparing of solution for injections was unsterile.
Moreover, the FDA stated that there were some other contaminants. Several bacterial contaminants were found at the pharmacy. However these contaminants were not real pathogens, they were able to cause infection as well. These bacterial contaminants were found in such medicines, as Betamethasone and Triamcinolone. There were not any situations reported about contamination resulted from usage of these preparations. But it was stated that these medications were also capable to result in contamination. Although the bacterial contaminants were anywhere in the environment, they had not to be in preparations. This fact pointed at unsterile conditions at the compounding center and affirmed that the Methylprednisolone Acetate injections turned out to be contaminated with fungal meningitis because they were prepared in improper conditions.
The situation made it clear that new rules on pharmacies should be established. Contamination should be prevented. Otherwise, health of Americans is in danger.

Barry Larkin: steroid users should be treated like Pete Rose

The retired MLB player Barry Larkin notes about his negative attitude to athletes who have ever taken steroids and/or other banned preparations. He considers that such baseball players that have ever been linked to performance-enhancing drugs must not be elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame. To be elected for the Hall of Fame is the greatest honor which is received by baseball players. Barry Larkin has been elected for the Hall of Fame last year. He thinks that dopers should not acquire the greatest honor. They should realize that they have made a serious mistake, when they have decided to apply anabolic steroids and/or other related medicines. Their decision means that they should be out of this club forever.
Barry Larkin belongs to the most successful baseball players. He has receieved some awards, while playing baseball professionally.
Barry Larkin also notes about Pete Rose who is kept out of the Baseball Hall of Fame. This player has gambled on baseball games. That’s why he has been suspended from professional baseball for the entire life. Thus, he doesn’t have any chance to be elected for the Hall of Fame. Barry Larkin says that those that have ever applied prohibited drugs should get similar punishment. They must not be elected for the Hall of Fame.
Barry Larkin has played during the steroid era. He doesn’t want to demonize those that have played with and against him. He doesn’t make hasty conclusions about other baseball players. Barry Larkin thinks that no any sportsperson should be demonized, if his guilt has not been proven. He is considered to be innocent until it will be obvious that he has really administered steroids and/or other related preparations.
Barry Larkin also participates in educating young sportspersons about risks linked with application of steroids. He has formed a charity foundation which has been called after his name. Thus, the retired baseball player puts substantial efforts to make baseball clean. He convinces young persons not to apply steroids and other doping products. Barry Larkin desires to see baseball drug-free.

UFC president continues to praise Anderson Silva

Dana White, the UFC president, continues to argue that the fight between Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre will occur. Although Anderson Silva has noted that he is not interested in the fight, Dana White doesn’t cease to hope. Dana White notes that the fight between these individuals will take place before Anderson Silva ends his athletic career.
Anderson Silva will also face Jon Jones. But today Jon Jones trains in order to face Chael Sonnen. The fight is scheduled to be in April this year.
Since Anderson Silva and St-Pierre don’t express any dislike to each other, fans want more fervently to see the fight between Anderson Silva and Jon Jones.
During interviews both Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre have claimed that they don’t desire to face one another. Despites of their words, the UFC president states that he knows the situation better. He argues that while Anderson Silva and George St-Pierre claim that they don’t desire to face each other in the ring, it isn’t true. The UFC president says that totally opposite words are pronounced behind the scenes. Moreover, Anderson Silva never refuses fans’ proposals. He always does what he is expected to do.
Dana White praises Anderson Silva. He says that this fighter has great abilities. Anderson Silva has showed his great performance numerous times.
It is interesting to note that Anderson Silva has defeated Stephan Bonnar who has taken steroids.
Saying about the fight against Anderson Silva, Stephan Bonnar noticed that his opponent showed great skills. He added that Anderson Silva defeated him entirely. He felt as if he hadn’t won any fight. Thus, Stephan Bonnar lost the fight, despites of his usage of prohibited substances.
The UFC president doesn’t discontinue praising Anderson Silva. Dana White is sure that the fighter evaluates his skills properly and he knows that he can win any match. That’s why Anderson Silva is ready to face any fighter anytime.

Contamination with meningitis leads to modification of rules on pharmacies

The fungal meningitis outbreak which began in September 2012 had great impact upon America. Contaminated injectable steroids were produced by the New England Compounding Center (located in Massachusetts) and administered by many persons. As a result, over 400 individuals sickened with fungal meningitis in over 20 states. 39 persons contaminated with this illness died. 14 deaths happened in Tennessee.
It became obvious that it was necessary to do something for prevention of such situations. Contamination must not occur in future. The FDA had to meet with representatives of all states in order to discuss this situation. So, recently a conference took place in order to prevent occurring contamination in the future.
It was stated during the meeting that new laws on compounding pharmacies should be implemented.
Representatives of some states specified that they did good job in their states and no any individual experienced problems related to contamination. Moreover, they noted with criticism that they were not aware of what happened in other states.
As for the FDA, its authority over such situations is not established properly. Federal court cases that were during past years reduced the authority of the FDA significantly. Furthermore, several laws seem to be unclear.
Margaret Hamburg, the FDA Commissioner, proposed to improve the situation through the following changes:
- to manage training of state regulators;
- to induce sharing information between the FDA and states;
- to eliminate ambiguity from laws.

These points seem to be justifiable. Such changes will probably help to induce improving public health of Americans. Of course, if laws contain ambiguity, no any agreement will be reached. That’s why new rules should be elaborated and existing laws should be altered.
The FDA hopes that state regulators will coact with it in order to prevent manufacturing and shipping contaminated drugs.

It’s impossible to forget about Lance Armstrong’s downfall

The year 2012 has gone away. Thinking about 2012, what will you claim about sports? Which names will you pronounce? Will you say about amazing baseball players? Will you note about the dishonored American cyclist Lance Armstrong? Will you say about the London Olympics? Will you discuss concussions of football players? Will you note about suicides committed by several professional football players? What will you note about Melky Cabrera?
Of course, anyone will remember the case related to Lance Armstrong while speaking about sports of 2012. Every individual will note about the role of anabolic steroids in cycling and in other sports. Any individual will notice about possible unwanted consequences of anabolic steroids applied for athletic goals. Any individual interested in sports will remember what reporters have affirmed about anabolic steroids, cheating in sports and many ways of athletes to succeed in professional sports.
Thinking about sports of 2012, you will probably note about the steroid era in baseball and integrity of this sport. You will also say about dreadful actions of Jerry Sandusky and his coaching career at Penn State.
But let think what future generations will remember. What will historians comment one hundred years later? Will they concentrate on stories linked with James LeBron, Melky Cabrera and Jerry Sandusky? Will they notice about concussions of professional football players? Although they will probably talk over these cases, the hottest debates will be related to Lance Armstrong’s steroid scandal. This is a case which will be never forgotten. Numerous individuals will remember achievements of Lance Armstrong in cycling and his further downfall. Of course, they will also notice about his foundation Livestrong and influence of his disgraced reputation upon this organization. They will remember that usage of anabolic steroids led Lance Armstrong to loss of Tour de France titles, distancing from the organization Livestrong and some other troubles. The legendary cyclist will be always in the memory of the American society.

Would you vote for Roger Clemens, if you were member of BWAA?

Fans of baseball and many other persons seem to be indignant by results of voting for the Hall of Fame. Some brilliant players have not been elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is not surprisingly that you also ask why they have not been elected. Under rules of voting, those that have demonstrated brilliant baseball skills and contributed to their teams evidentially should be elected. Undoubtedly, such baseball players, as Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, Mark McGwire and several other sportsmen have manifested amazing abilities and achievements while playing professionally. Why aren’t they elected for the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Many voters say that they will never support those that have ever been related to anabolic steroids and/or other related drugs. Dopers must get penalty. Future generations should realize that they will never actually succeed, if they apply doping products.
What would you do, if you were a voter? Would you support consumers of steroids?
Actually, voters never possess complete information about admitted and suspected steroid users. You can’t prove that Roger Clemens has really doped. A lot of persons have suspicions but there is no any steroid evidence. How may voters refuse to support him? Are they sure that he has administered anabolic steroids and other prohibited drugs? –No, they aren’t. That’s why it is wrong to keep Roger Clemens out of the Baseball Hall of Fame just because of suspicions.
While some voters are ready to support suspected steroid users, they state that they will never vote for an admitted steroid user. Although it seems to be right, let analyze the situation better! Have anabolic steroids played any essential role in success of certain baseball player? For example, if even Roger Clemens has applied performance-enhancing drugs, it is possible to convince anyone that he has succeeded not because of steroids. Extraordinary accomplishment of this famous baseball player have been demonstrated before his alleged steroid use. According to several affirmations, Roger Clemens has taken steroids since 1998 and then in 2000 and 2001.  But the most amazing accomplishments have been done by him before 1998. So, no one can claim that steroids have helped Roger Clemens to have such great success. That’s why he should be in the Hall of Fame.
Furthermore, why are numerous persons inclined to blame just dopers? Isn’t it the society that presses sportspeople to start using steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs?

Punishment for steroid use in baseball

Several Hall of Famers assert that steroid users must never enter their club. They think that such baseball players, as Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens don’t deserve to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. They are very glad that these sportspersons didn’t receive needed percentage of voting to enter the Hall of Fame. According to them, it is correct. They think that otherwise our kids will be in confusion. They will think that they are permitted to apply steroids and whatever they desire and remain unpunished. So, it would be a negative example for future generations. Al Kaline, Goose Gossage and several others that belong to the Baseball Hall of Fame have this opinion. They even notice about cycling, as a good example to follow.
What occurred actually in the world of cycling? The legendary American cyclist was accused of using prohibited medications. As a result, he forfeited his 7 Tour de France titles and sentenced to life-time suspension.
Thus, some Hall of Famers believe that cycling is a good example for baseball. Baseball players who are found guilty of doping should be banned from this sport totally. Record books must not include information about success of those that have been caught administering prohibited remedies. Those that have cheated should be punished properly.
Nevertheless, not every member of the Baseball Hall of Fame has this opinion. For example, Juan Marichal supports Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, etc. He claims that these baseball players should be elected for the Hall of Fame. These athletes are stars in baseball. Nobody could prove that they have really taken doping products. Since there is no any proof, suspicions cost nothing.
Under rules connected with voting for the Hall of Fame, baseball players that have amazing skills and those that have contributed to their teams evidentially should be in the Hall of Fame.  Of course, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were great players. They made essential contributions to their teams. That’s why they should be in the Hall of Fame.

Steroids are not responsible for Manuel Marquez’s changes in physique

Any fan noted that the body of the American boxer Juan Manuel Marquez had been changed significantly. What led to such significant changes in the sportsman?
Since Juan Manuel Marquez is connected with the admitted steroid dealer Angel “Memo” Hernandez, many individuals suppose that the boxer’s muscles have been enhanced because of anabolic steroids and/or other doping products. Angel “Memo” Hernandez is the strength coach of Juan Manuel Marquez. This individual was linked to the BALCO scandal. As it was learnt, this individual supplied many top athletes with anabolic steroids and other related preparations. He provided information about several athletes who purchased forbidden products from him.
Finding out that Angel “Memo” Hernandez has been a distributor of steroids, numerous individuals suppose that he provides doping products to Juan Manuel Marquez. Several suspicions and even accusations were presented by Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer. Freddie Roach said that it would be excellent to subject the both boxers Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao to testing before the ring.
Actually, Freddie Roach’s suspicions were not based on any drug evidence. He focused only on enhanced muscles of Juan Manuel Marquez.
Later Manny Pacquiao’s trainer claimed that he didn’t mean anything serious. He said that he was just joking.
Angel “Memo” Hernandez reminded that he was not only a coach. Since he is a scientist, he possesses great knowledge. He knows the best ways to enhance muscles and gain strength. Angel “Memo” Hernandez says that he knows the ways to do it legally. No any illegal medication is included in his methods. But he refuses to reveal his methods. The coach claims that this is a secret.
As for Juan Manuel Marquez, he claimed that he never administered any prohibited product. He underlined that it was not drugs which caused the evident changes in his physique. Moreover, he added that weight was not the most important factor while fighting. According to the boxer, a fighter should possess intelligence, speed and strength in order to win.
Neither Juan Manuel Marquez, nor Manny Pacquiao was subjected to testing for prohibited medications before the ring. Such tests are usually applied by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after rings.
