The arrested persons were related to bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Some persons were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, car lots and tram stops.
Police suppose that some persons are masked by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is one of those who have been arrested. He is an operator and editor of a fitness blog. He coached famous sportspersons within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is suggested that Eilertsen and some other individuals have provided dangerous doping drugs to Norwegian youth during numerous years.

Spain’s police seized large amounts of preparations from illegal drug ring

Spain’s police officials arrested Scott Boote, a person, who was involved in illicit actions linked with an international drug ring producing stimulants which increase libido. Huge quantities of preparations were seized by police. The street value of the medications was estimated. It was confirmed that it was almost ?3 million. A citizen of the UK, a 72-year-old man from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to statements of police, these two persons produced eight new sexual stimulants and offered them for sale via internet without providing medical controls. Six other persons were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators noticed that the individuals that were implicated in this illicit drug ring bought cars and another property due to distribution of illegal sexual products. Certain bank accounts were blocked by police. Over 100,000 doses of anabolic steroids, properties and vehicles were confiscated.

So, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers that acquired medications from this ring. Three factories functioned in Costa del Sol. Investigators suppose that those who were producing the medicines didn’t have required knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the individuals who were involved in the drug ring created also legal business in order to hide the illicit one. They put efforts to provide legitimate appearance to illegal operations. Several commercial companies were managed by these persons in order to mask the profits obtained due to illegal sale of sex stimulants.
Boxes which had to be sent to clients were also found by police officers. Anabolic steroids were also found and confiscated by policemen. Packages, labels and leaflets were also found in possession of the arrested persons.

Young British motorist blames steroids for aggressiveness that has occurred in him during driving

However it is not yet proven scientifically whether uncontrolled aggressive behavior is an undesirable consequence of steroids, these drugs are demonized for different crimes quite often.
Michael Barton, a man from Britain, hit a Ford Fiesta, while he was driving his Volkswagen Golf. Paul Gard was a motorist of Ford Fiesta. Barton had overtaken Paul Gard. But then he had to pull back in front of him, since another vehicle was driving the other way. Paul Gard flashed him. Thus, he had to brake immediately. Barton became maddened, stopped his car, broke the wing mirror of Gard’s vehicle and hit Gard in the face. Then Gard’s wife took her mobile and informed police. While she was calling, Barton left calmly.
Michael Barton, a 21-year-old man that has a kid of two years old, utilizes steroids for bulking results. So, it has been claimed that these products affected his behavior. The defense attorney for Michael Barton affirmed that steroids influenced on temperament of his client, since these preparations enhanced his testosterone levels.
Previously Michael Barton was convicted for some crimes, including domestic violence. Last year this young person pleaded guilty to an assault, criminal damage and driving carelessly because of his anger following assaults.
Patrick Hooton, the judge, confirmed that he was not sure that steroids were responsible for the case. But he noted that it was totally mad to become angered and hit a person in the face only because he flashed him. The judge noted that Barton’s behavior was very shameful and he said: “you ought to go to prison”.
Thus, this young person was sentenced to 6-month jail sentence suspended for a year; he was also enforced to pay 500 dollars in compensation and ?277 for damage of Paul Gard’s Ford Fiesta.

Athletes become more sophisticated in testosterone use

Sportspeople become more and more sophisticated in intake of steroids. They study new methods to hide their usage of prohibited drugs. Some athletes spend time studying specialists’ conclusions which could help them to hide that they dope. Nowadays a method has been discovered: sportspeople can mask intake of testosterone with the help of green tea.
Testosterone represents a hormone which is secreted in body naturally. Thus, it can be difficult for anti-doping organizations to determine that a sportsperson has taken testosterone. T: E ratio testing is commonly utilized by anti-doping agencies. Such tests can display uncommon ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone in urine. But it is not able to show difference between testosterone that has been created in body naturally and that introduced into body with the help of injections, gels, etc.
Declan Naughton and his colleagues at Kingston University ( London) have discovered that green tea has such compounds that are called “catechins”. They have ability to inhibit the enzyme UGT2B17. This enzyme promotes attaching glucuronic acid to testosterone. In case UGT2B17 is inhibited, less testosterone glucoronide is excreted in urine.
Catechins, the compounds that can mask testosterone use, are contained in green and white tea. Black tea lacks such compounds.
Naughton and his colleagues have conducted some experiments. They claim that a cup of strong green tea hides intake of testosterone.
Thus, those sportspeople who take testosterone can reduce measures of testosterone which are excreted in urine by drinking of green or white tea. Green or white tea has capacity to block excretion of testosterone, enhancing circulating levels of this hormone.
The World Anti-Doping Agency was informed about the discovering by the specialists. If this process occurs, it means that it is not worthy to subject sportspersons to urine tests. Blood tests must be performed in order to detect testosterone use.
Olivier Rabin, the WADA’s scientist, affirms that regular checks of blood steroids will be added. Everything will be done by anti-doping organizations in order to prevent fooling of urine tests.

Packages sent to Wim Vansevenant and seized by customs didn’t contain doping products

The case related to the former Belgian rider Wim Vansevenant altered dramatically. An analysis displayed that the doping preparations which were ordered by him didn’t contain the contents written on the labels. This former athlete was cheated by the company where he ordered the medicines.
Last year several packages sent to the former Belgian rider by an Australian company were intercepted by customs officials. According to the labels of  the intercepted  bottles,  they contained the doping preparation TB-500. It represents a peptide hormone which has ability to increase muscle strength and promote healing. The Belgian authorities started an investigation. It was thought that Wim Vansevenant supplied the Omega Pharma-Lotto team with doping drugs. This athlete rode professionally 10 years, from 1998 to 2008. Last 6 years of the career he was working with this team.
An analysis of the bottles seized by customs showed that they contained only amino acids. Wim Vansevenant’s lawyer claimed that the case had to be dropped. He explained that since the preparation was not linked with doping, the former rider didn’t deserve to be punished.
The prosecutor’s spokesperson Johan Lescrauwaet confirmed that the contents didn’t correspond to the name of the product which was written on the label and to the words of the former athlete.
Just amino acids were found in the bottles. No any doping medication. Thus, there is no any evidence that Wim Vansevenant provided doping medicines to other individuals.
The hearing of former professional athlete was scheduled to be later.

Toxicologist Bruce Goldberger criticizes feds for unsuitable methods in cases against certain athletes

Testimonies of the well-known toxicologist Bruce Goldberger will probably impact significantly on decision of the court in the case connected with Roger Clemens. Bruce Goldberger is the Professor of Pathology and Director of Toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. This specialist didn’t testify on behalf of the government. Although he was called in order to replace Don Catlin, the director of the WADA UCLA Medicine, Goldberger’s testimonies differed from those which are commonly presented by anti-doping organizations. This toxicologist testified on behalf of the accused athlete.
Bruce Goldberger has gained his celebrity due to his appearing on different news programs. Even during such programs he doesn’t refrain from criticism. Bruce Goldberger criticized several anti-doping organizations, including the WADA.
Bruce Goldberger expressed critical words for feds in the case related to Roger Clemens. They based on “beer can evidence” presented by McNamee to prove that Roger Clemens administered steroids and HGH. Brian McNamee, the former personal coach of this baseball player, provided a beer can with utilized needles and syringes which had traces of such steroids, as Sustanon, Primobolan Depot and Deca Durabolin and were mixed allegedly with blood of Roger Clemens. The beer can was maintained by McNamee more than 6 years. Bruce Goldberger noticed that such basis was not reasonable.
Bruce Goldberger claimed that it was impossible to base on “beer can evidence”. He added that no one could prove that Roger Clemens used steroids and HGH, basing on the beer can, because the theory of contamination could present.
Thus, Bruce Goldberger didn’t support the evidence used by the feds. Earlier he also expressed criticism connected with evidence utilized by certain anti-doping agencies.
Certain years ago Bruce Goldberger testified on behalf of the American cyclist Floyd Landis, when this sportsperson appealed positives for steroids. A WADA-accredited lab located in France found traces of exogenous testosterone; T: E ratio and carbon isotope ratio tests were utilized by the lab. Goldberger pronounced similar words and criticism during the appeal related to Floyd Landis.
Bruce Goldberger claimed during an interview that the WADA utilized inadequate methods and violated rights of sportspeople in order to have the success in anti-doping programs.
As for Floyd Landis, he didn’t have success in his appeal and admitted that he had taken steroids, EPO and certain other related products.
No one knows which results will be achieved by Roger Clemens. Will the government prove that he has lied before the Congress? Will he admit to administering forbidden products? Or will be the results contrary?

Photos of Roger Clemens presented by his defense attorney manifest that he hasn’t taken steroids

Every baseball fan knows that Roger Clemens is accused in obstruction of justice. It is believed that he has lied before Congress about administration of steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his trainings with the trainer Brian McNamee. The attorney affirmed that this aspect proved that Roger Clemens hadn’t applied steroids and other related medications.
Changing in muscle size is usually used by prosecutors as proof that a person takes steroids or/and other related medications. But this tendency was not utilized during the case against Roger Clemens. No one could confirm that muscles of Roger Clemens manifested that he had taken steroids and HGH. It is one of differences between the cases against Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.
As for the governmental case against Barry Bonds, prosecutors called many individuals in the trial that were able to testify that anabolic steroids caused essential changes in physical appearance of this athlete. They claimed that administration of steroids led to enhancement of muscle mass, enhanced size of the head and shrunken testicles in Barry Bonds.
So, Rusty Hardin showed four photos of Roger Clemens. The photos displayed physical appearance of Roger Clemens, including the time when Clemens was working with the trainer Brian McNamee. The attorney noticed that the pictures displayed that there were no changes in physical appearance that could support that he administered steroids and HGH.
The attorney Rusty Hardin claimed that the pictures manifested only the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern noticed that she didn’t observe any changes in physique of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor abnormal development of breast tissue, nor dramatically enhanced muscle size.
Phil Garner, a former baseball player, also affirmed that there were not any obvious changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with the coach Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham tried to discredit the affirmation about lack of changes in Roger Clemens’ physical appearance during the cross-examination of Phil Garner. He claimed that while several steroids increased muscle mass, others didn’t induce enhancing muscles. Thus, he confirmed that the pictures could say nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors want to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they affirm that changes in physical appearance of Barry Bonds display that he has used steroids, lack of changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t applied steroids.

Anders Breivik applied steroid cycles during his preparing for massacre

Anders Behring Breivik was charged with murder of 70 persons. He bombed buildings of government in Oslo (Norway). Some teenagers of the Workers’ Youth League camp were also killed by this person on Utoya island in July 2011.
This criminal prepared for the murders significantly. He said that he had utilized cycles with steroids.  Since he utilized steroids, these medications were demonized for the murderes by numerous journalists.
But what did specialists claim? Joerge Moerland, a professor of forensic toxicology at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, contested statements of these reporters. The specialist Joerge Moerland noted that anabolic steroids should not be demonized for the crimes. But the specialist acknowledged that he couldn’t exclude that these medicines could lead to aggressiveness in the killer.
An ECA, a combination of caffeine, aspirin and ephedrine, was also utilized by the killer. In fact, this stack is usually used by bodybuilders in order to lose fat and stimulate themselves for workouts. It was defined that Anders Breivik has utilized great quantity of the stack. The amount used by him was by 50 % more increased than it is permitted under European Union’s rules.
The expert Joerge Moerland claimed that the killer’s behavior was more essentially influenced by the ECA than steroids. He explained that ephedrine might cause desire to be involved in risky activities. Moerland affirmed that the killer’s central nervous system had been affected by ephedrine.
Nonetheless, the toxicologist Joerge Moerland noted about limitation of the ECA’ influence. The quantity of caffeine consumed by Breivik was equal to about 5 cups of coffee. So, the amount was not enough enhanced in order to be demonized for the massacre.
The killer described his usage of steroids and dietary supplements in details. He also recommended other persons purchasing steroids at Alinshop.
The killer expressed his dislike of Dianabol because it was able to cause fluid retention. He noted that Dianabol could add more body mass than users could carry. According to his affirmations, about 50 % of the mass gotten due to this medicine is fluid retention. The criminal decided to take certain combinations that were suitable for his needs.
Breivik learnt about effects of different steroids in order to choose those who were appropariate for his needs. He claimed that Testosterone Propionate was better than Dianabol. He also supposed that combinations of Dianabol with Aromasin or usage of Dianabol followed by usage of Winstrol could benefit obviously.
So, the murderer prepared for the massacre scrupulously. He spent time in order to choose and plan steroid cycles and administration of dietary supplements. He also pondered about every aspect connected with attacks and murders.
However some individuals claimed that Breivik was legally insane, it’s wrong. It is evident that the crimes have been committed consciously.

Police officers often seize steroids from motorcycle gangs

The newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” reports that outlaw motorcycle gangs are responsible for spread of illegal steroid use in Australia. The gangs get significant profit and low risks.
Nick Bingham, a detective, has said that New South Wales Police doesn’t focus on investigation related to administration of steroids but anabolic steroids become targets of investigations, when outlaw motorcycle gangs are arrested for violation of other laws.
According to Nick Bingham, however New South Wales police officers don’t raid houses of gangs for steroids, they find them, when they conduct searches for weapons and psychostimulant drugs.
Nick Bingham has confirmed that they usually seize such quantities of steroids from motorcycle gangs that are just for personal application. Quantities of other preparations which are commonly found in possession of gangs are much greater than those of steroids.
Bingham has noted that criminals prefer taking anabolic steroids in order to create threatening muscular bodies. They desire to look big and strong.
Although Bingham is sure that gangs have steroids just for self-administration, the newspaper “The Sydney Morning Herald” doesn’t agree with this statement. It reports that motorcycle gangs are implicated in smuggling of steroids.
However gyms are claimed to be the chief sources of steroids for bodybuilders, it is stated by “The Sydney Morning Herald” that several gyms have direct links with motorcycle gangs. The Herald confirms that many seizures made by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service are linked directly with distribution of steroids by motorcycle gangs.
According to statements of Australian Customs, mail seizures of steroids have been enhanced significantly in comparison with past years.
More than 2, 000 seizures were made in 2009-2010 and more than 5, 000 seizures of steroids were recorded in 2010-2011.
The most of seizures were linked with personal usage of steroids smuggled by bodybuilders.

David Segui turned out to be another person that knows about steroid use by Roger Clemens

Federal prosecutors hope that the judge Reggie Walton will permit the former first baseman of the Major League Baseball David Segui to present testimony in the trial linked with the case of Roger Clemens. This person had a conversation with Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Roger Clemens. It is stated that they have spoken about usage of steroids by the former baseball star.
The former personal trainer of Roger Clemens was called to testify against his client because he turned out to be the only person who had direct knowledge about application of steroids and other related medicines by Clemens. Furthermore, he kept injection equipment: vials, syringes and needles which were allegedly mixed with Roger Clemens’ blood. DNA analysis was made in order to confirm whether it was Clemens’ blood.
Rusty Hardin, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, claimed that the steroid evidence was created by Brian McNamee after the interrogation by federal prosecutors.
But prosecutors confirmed that David Segui told them that Brian McNamee said that he kept several things as evidence of steroid use by some players in 2001. It was several years before the former trainer of Roger Clemens became the target of the investigation.
Information provided by Segui to federal prosecutors differed significantly from that presented to the sportswriter Jim Baumbach. His statements provided to the sportswriter were published in an article in 2008. According to that article, Segui claimed that he had never spoken about steroids with his friend Brian McNamee.
Segui found out about involvement of Brian McNamee into the trial of Roger Clemens only in 2006, when he read a piece of news in the Los Angeles Times.
David Segui discussed openly about personal usage of steroids and other related medications. He said that Major League Baseball players asked him numerous times whether he had administered steroids. The former Major League Baseball first baseman acknowledged that he had administered them. But David Segui noticed that he had never discussed about administration of steroids with Brian McNamee.
David Segui supported the decision of McNamee to keep evidence about administration of banned products by his clients. According to Segui, it is a right decision because sometimes innocent persons are blamed but guilty persons are covered. So, Brian McNamee could help to reveal the truth.
Although the judge Walton was asked to permit David Segui to provide testimony in the trial related to Roger Clemens, it is unclear yet whether the judge will allow it.

Cancelation of fight between Lamont Peterson and Amir Khan led to loss of potential profit by Golden Boy Promotions

The WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto tested positive for the steroid Nandrolone. This athlete was tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).
Andre Berto was scheduled to meet Victor Ortiz on June 23, 2012 in Los Angeles. He agreed to submit to random drug testing before the match. T: E ratio method and carbon isotope ratio testing were used; they both indicated about administration of the anabolic steroid Nandrolone.
It was already the second time this month, when the VADA tested fighters and caught them utilizing steroids. The first boxer that tested positive this month due to tests conducted by the VADA was Lamont Peterson. He was scheduled to meet Amir Khan. It seems to be strange that Peterson requested random blood and urine testing. The drug test conducted by the VADA showed that testosterone of exogenous origin was in this fighter’s system certain weeks before the match.
The tests conducted by the VADA influenced greatly on financial position of several companies. For example, Golden Boy Promotions lost essential potential profit due to positives of Lamont Peterson. It was determined by Richard Schaeffer, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, that the company lost 250, 000 dollars.
The cancelation of the fight between Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz will probably not influence greatly on financial position of certain promotional companies because Andre Berto will be possibly replaced by another boxer who will fight against Ortiz.
The boxer Andre Berto didn’t explain why he tested positive. He hired the attorney Howard Jacobs that would represent and defeat him.
Berto confirmed that he had never taken steroids. So, he claimed that he investigated with his attorney what could lead to positives for steroids. The fighter Andre Berto concluded that he had never cheated; he succeeded in sport due to hard work and dedication.
The attorney Howard Jacobs represented numerous other athletes that turned out to be victims of contaminated food supplements.
It is said that since Nandrolone has very long half life and it is detected easily, it is not very popular among doping sportspersons. But it has been defined many times that several nutritional supplements contained the compound nandrolone which led to positives for steroids. But since sometimes not each compound is enumerated on the label, sportspersons become victims of contaminated sport supplements.

Although Chael Sonnen takes testosterone, he is allowed to fight against Anderson Silva

The American mixed martial artist Chael Sonnen is allowed to administer anabolic steroids. The doctor Timothy Trainor claimed that this athlete really suffered from hypogonadism.
What does this condition represent? Hypogonadism is related to insufficient secretion of the hormone testosterone. Doctors ordinarily recommend testosterone replacement therapy in order to treat this condition.
Chael Sonnen has acquired a therapeutic use exemption (TUE). Thus, this athlete is allowed to take steroids for clinical needs and fight against Anderson Silva at UFC 148 in July 2012.
According to instructions given by Sonnen’s physician, he has to apply injections of Testosterone Enanthate and Testosterone Cypionate twice weekly. The measures which are prescribed have not been revealed. But under rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission, blood serum levels of testosterone in this athlete must remain within normal range on the morning after the match with Silva.
The doctor Trainor confirms that those that fight, having TUE, must be tested on the morning after the match to find out whether they have administered something right before the match.
The doctor Trainor suggests that testosterone causes performance-enhancing effects, if it is applied right before the fight. He claims that injections must not be introduced in the days before a match in order to prevent enhanced testosterone levels.
But it seems that the NAC is not aware that steroids cause effects related to enhancement of performance, not only if they are utilized right before competitions. Administration of steroids increases performance during trainings before competitions. And the benefits remain even after athletes stop applying them.
The fighter Chael Sonnen had elevated testosterone levels at UFC 117. He noted that he had tested positive because he had been on TRT.  He appealed his suspension and it was lowered to 6 months from one year. But Chael Sonnen didn’t have any TUE that time.

Imprisonment of Galabin Boevski due to possession of narcotics

The world champion in weightlifting Galabin Boevski was sentenced to 9 months in prison because of illegal international drug trade. This person was arrested in October 2011 at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil after he attempted to board the plane with 8 kg of cocaine. He was led to Bulgaria. The narcotic was estimated. It could be sold at the price of 500, 000 dollars on the streets in European countries.
Boevski is a celebrated athlete in Bulgaria. He is claimed to be one of the most well-known weightlifters in this country.
First he was caught taking steroids in 1995. Undoubtedly, he was sentenced to suspension.
Then this weightlifter was caught taking prohibited products in 2004. It was the second time when he broke doping laws. Actually, Galabin Boevski didn’t test positive for any forbidden medicines. But anti-doping officials determined that he didn’t provide own urine. The urine which was provided by him belonged to another individual. As a result, Galabin Boevski received 8-year suspension. During serving the suspension he was caught trafficking cocaine.
Boevski became well-known due to his success in weightlifting. This person won gold medals at several competitions: at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships in Athens, the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2001 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya.
At the 2003 World Championships in Vancouver this sportsperson and his teammates from Bulgaria provided urine samples that belonged to another individual. It was defined by anti-doping officials that the 3 urine samples were produced by one person. These sportsmen were sentenced to suspensions. Boevski appealed the suspension but it was not successful.
Galabin Boevski broke several world records at various competitions. He held 3 world records. The best lifts of this sportsman were following: a 162, 5 kg snatch, 196, 5 kg clean and jerk and a 357, 5 kg of two lifts at the 1999 Championships.
It is wondering but Boevski’s reputation wasn’t destroyed in Bulgaria. He utilized his status of celebrity in sports in order to launch a Technogym fitness center in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The center was named Atama Wellness and Spa.
Furthermore, the Brazilian judge Maria Isabel do Prado claimed that Boevski applied also his status of celebrity in sports in order to traffic the narcotic cocaine. She also noticed that this sportsperson utilized the participation of his daughter in a Brazilian tennis tournament to hide his illicit deals connected with smuggling of the narcotic.
Galabin Boevski claimed that he would appeal the conviction.

Andy Pettitte’s testimony shocked federal prosecutors at court linked with Roger Clemens’ case

The desire of the federal government related to the case of Roger Clemens was following: they hoped to prove that this sportsperson had lied before the Congress about application of anabolic steroids and HGH. But the government couldn’t achieve this goal. It was expected that Andy Pettitte would claim that Roger Clemens had acknowledged that he had applied the banned preparations during a conversation in 1999 or in 2000. But the testimony of Andy Pettitte was shocking for prosecutors. He stated that he couldn’t affirm that Roger Clemens had used steroids and HGH because he was not sure.
Actually, did the testimony of Andy Pettittte shock the prosecutors of Roger Clemens? This person swore for the 2008 Congressional hearings on usage of steroids in the Major League Baseball that Roger Clemens acknowledged that he had taken HGH. But he provided opposite affirmations at the Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington.
Michael Attanasio, a defense attorney for Roger Clemens, asked Andy Pettitte whether he can affirm that he is 50-50 that he has understood wrongly Roger Clemens about HGH. Pettitte answered that he is indeed 50-50 about this aspect.
When Clemens’ prosecutors heard the answer of Andy Pettitte, they became confused. They affirmed that Andy Pettitte never answered this way, when he was asked certain times.
The judge Reggie Walton claimed that he understood that Andy Pettitte’s answer has been conflicted. Actually, his statement was following: “I don’t know”.
The attorneys for Roger Clemens utilized the moment of the prosecutors’ confusion. They requested the judge to ignore Andy Pettitte’s testimony because he was 50-50. According to the attorneys, he probably misunderstood Roger Clemens or he can’t remember the details of the conversation.
The government has noticed that the jury still allows taking in consideration the testimony of Andy Pettitte. ASUSA Dunham has claimed that under federal rules jury is allowed to choose which testimony to believe. This person hopes that the jury will ignore the testimony which doesn’t support the government.
Thus, the testimony presented by Andy Pettitte and his wife led to problems. Testimonies of Andy’s wife during the first trial led to the declaration of a mistrial by the judge Walton.
Pettitte affirms that he is a friend of Roger Clemens. Clemens must also confirm that they are friends after Andy  Pettitte’s last testimony.

During steroid investigation one police officer was killed and four others were wounded

Police officials came to Cullen Mutrie for a drug investigation. This person shot 5 police officials at his home. One of them, the Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney,  was killed; 4 police officers were seriously injured. The next morning this killer and a woman were found dead.
It is suggested that Mutrie was applying anabolic steroids at the time of the shootout. Jane Young, the New Hampshire Associate Attorney General, stated that toxicology reports were waiting in order to find out whether metabolites of steroids were in the body of this person.
Police officers reported that Cullen Mutrie had been a very muscular man. This man worked at Genetix Fitness in Seabrook. He was described as a man that was 6 feet 3 inches tall. Cullen Mutrie weighed 275 pounds. During a raid which took place in July 2010 police officials discovered anabolic steroids at his home. The policeman Wayne Young found them in a coffee table. He said that he had noticed a plastic bag with certain vials. A vial was with powder; others contained solution. The labels indicated that they were steroids.
The New Hampshire State Crime Lab analyzed the vials. It was defined that the vials contained Trenbolone Acetate, Sustanon 250, Boldenone Undecylenate and Nandrolone Decanoate.
The professor of kinesiology John Miller was asked whether a link between the criminal actions and “roid rage” of anabolic steroids could present. The professor said that it was plausible. But according to him, it is impossible to confirm that there was a direct connection between administration of anabolic steroids and the shootout.
John Miller suggested that steroids that were on the black market were provided from legal pharmaceutical companies. But he has been mistaken because the majority of steroids that are sold on the black market are manufactured in underground labs. It is even suggested that Cullen Mutrie manufactured steroids.
Since a connection between criminal actions and administration of steroids is a controversial question, not only police officials but also media investigates the case connected with this killer.

Alistar Overeem didn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC

Alistar Overeem, a UFC fighter, appealed his suspension which was received by him for administration of anabolic steroids in April 2012. But he couldn’t win his appeal against members of NSAC. This fighter lost his license for nine months. Then he may obtain it again.
Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he had utilized injectable testosterone that was prescribed him by his doctor. Overeem used the strategy that was considered to be boring. He claimed that he had never applied anabolic steroids or other related products intentionally. Alistar Overeem tried to make the NSAC think that his injectable application of steroids was accidental.
David Chenoff, the defense attorney for Alistar Overeem, is experienced in representing well-known athletes.
David Chesnoff called the personal physician of Overeem to testify during the appeal. It was thought that Dr. Molina would testify in defense for his patient. Testimonies of this health care provider were too pitiable. The doctor Molina provided an explanation for recommendations of certain medications that led to Overeem’s enhanced testosterone: epitestosterone ratio.
The treating physician of Alistar Overeem acknowledged that he prescribed and injected his patient with a mixture of Toradol and Dexamethasone because he suffered from an injury. In fact, these medications are taken for anti-inflammatory needs. But usage of testosterone in case of injuries is not approved by the FDA.
It is suggested that the health care provider Molina hasn’t informed this sportsman that these preparations contain the anabolic steroid testosterone. But it is obviously that he has never asked about it.
So, testimonies of the doctor Molina turned out to manifest lack of the evidence linked with clinical purposes for usage of banned preparations by Alistar Overeem. The doctor couldn’t present any reasonable explanation that could justify recommendations of Toradol and Dexamethasone to this sportsman. Testimonies of the health care provider Molina worked against Alistar Overeem.
Actually, it became evident that Alistar Overeem was a victim of the physician’s quack.
But it is possible to suggest that this strategy was designed by the defense attorney for this fighter.
The commissioner Pat Lundval was probably impressed by the defense of Overeem. She even referred to him as to a “smart guy”.
The members of the NSAC seemed to believe that Alistar Overeem has been actually a great guy but he has surrounded himself with such questionable individuals, as the doctor Moline. They recommended him to find more qualified professionals in the future.
